In the US, 40% of food goes to waste - at the same time 50 million people don't have enough food.
THIS MAKES NO SENSE.

"The issues of hunger and food waste continue to grow. It's 2017 and we've made amazing advances in technology and medicine, yet we can't figure out to use the resources we have to ensure nutrition for all. My goal is to bring this disparity to light and help create solutions." ~ David Juros
About
My experience creating a small local non-profit has changed the way I think about hunger and its juxtaposition with the absurd amount of food waste that happens every day in the US. I'm tackling the question of WHY this is happening and what we can and should be doing to make changes and in the process work towards resolving hunger.
Projects
I'm currently working on a number of projects to reduce food waste and help resolve hunger. From growing produce and rescuing food that would be wasted, to delivering food to organizations who share with those in need. I'm also working to educate through films and speaking engagements on the issues of food waste and hunger.
Get Involved
I've discovered many ways to tackle these issues and applied many to my own life. At home, at work and with the organizations we work with - we can all make minor changes, ask a few questions and take steps to avoid waste and ensure that extra food finds a home so it can help someone who doesn't have enough.
